This Privacy & Cookies Policy explains how Juicy Designs (Pty) Ltd ("Juicy Designs", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information.
We process personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Where it applies, we also follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using our website or engaging our services, you acknowledge this policy.

3. Personal information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use our website:
- Information you give us: name, email address, phone number, company name, website URL, project details, marketing preferences, and any content of your enquiries (forms, email, phone, WhatsApp).
- Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, referring source, and interactions. We gather this through cookies and analytics (see section 7).
- Client service data: for clients, we may process account access, billing details and campaign data needed to deliver services.
We do not knowingly collect special personal information (as defined in POPIA) or information from children under 18 without parental consent.
4. Why we process your information and our lawful basis
We process personal information for the purposes below. Each one relies on a POPIA justification: consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interest, or legal obligation.
- To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals (your request / pre-contract steps).
- To deliver, manage and improve our services (performance of a contract).
- To operate, secure and improve our website and measure marketing performance (legitimate interest).
- To send direct marketing where you have consented or are an existing client (see section 9).
- To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations (legal obligation).
5. How we share information (operators and third parties)
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary, with:
- Operators (processors) who process data on our behalf under written agreement, such as website hosting, email, CRM, cloud storage and analytics providers.
- Advertising and analytics platforms such as Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads) and Meta, used to measure and deliver marketing.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Cross-border transfers
Some of our operators (for example Google and Meta) store and process data on servers outside South Africa. In line with section 72 of POPIA, we only transfer personal information to recipients that protect it to a standard comparable to POPIA. That protection must come from laws, binding rules or agreements.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary cookies for core site functionality.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used.
- Marketing cookies (e.g. Google Ads, Meta pixels) to measure and improve campaign performance.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Disabling cookies may affect site functionality.
8. Security and retention
As required by section 19 of POPIA, we apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information against loss, damage and unauthorised access. These safeguards include HTTPS, access controls and trusted service providers.
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, or as the law requires. We then securely delete or anonymise it.
If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.
9. Direct marketing
In line with section 69 of POPIA, we only send electronic direct marketing in two cases. The first is where you have consented. The second is where you are an existing client and the marketing relates to similar services. Every marketing message includes an option to opt out. To unsubscribe, use the link in the message or email info@juicydesigns.co.za.
10. Your rights as a data subject
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- Be told what personal information we hold about you and request access to it.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate, irrelevant or excessive information.
- Object to processing, including for direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
